Responsibilities

The Clinical Applications Specialist (CAS) at Hamilton Medical, Inc. (HMI) is tasked with providing clinical support and education within the North American market. Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager, the CAS aids HMI Account Managers, dealer representatives, independent representatives, direct customers, and clinicians. This role aims to enhance the global presence of the Hamilton Medical Group while meeting growth and turnover targets through clinical and technical assistance to customers. The CAS contributes to developing and administering educational/CEU support tools necessary for introducing and sustaining HMI's product line in the clinical market within a designated territory (Vermont, Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania, Maryland). The ideal candidate would be based in Harrisburg, PA or Rochester, NY.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Represents HMI and its products accurately in the marketplace.
  • Identifies educational needs of HMI customers, plans, and facilitates in-service/CEU opportunities with the Clinical Operations Manager.
  • Adheres to HMI policies, procedures, and mandatory requirements.
  • Takes initiative and requires minimal direction for assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrates efficient use of resources to meet customer expectations and perform job duties effectively.
  • Assists the Clinical Operations Manager in organizing key account seminars, presentations, and programs to promote company products, services, and technologies.
  • Acts as a clinical practices resource for all HMI customers and personnel.
  • Provides technical/application assistance to the HMI sales and service team.
  • Attends and participates in trade shows, seminars, and company sales/service meetings as needed.
  • Gathers competitive information and forwards it to marketing to aid in sales and marketing strategies.
  • Regularly commutes to and from customer sites, navigating the region while adhering to traffic laws and ensuring punctual arrival at customer sites.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in HMI equipment and services functionality and clinical application.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical and mechanical aptitude for ventilator and other HMI product installations.
  • Required PC computer skills, preferably with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must hold and maintain a current, valid Driver’s License, and pass a motor vehicle history check.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering, from an accredited not-for-profit institution or equivalent experience preferred, AA degree required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist / Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years critical care experience in the field of Respiratory Care required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of in-service education or clinical support experience preferred.
